The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It's got a fantastic mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do, to map your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the push of one button. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do and can pick up pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve with future models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an advanced filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.
Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and set up virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is better as its spinning pads scrub floors better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.
For the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to scrub off hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has that are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves along.
The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden in the background, as well as washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something needs attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.
You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. 3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could wish for. The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.
The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. While these features are useful but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the house. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The central control panel has the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open up the settings menu of the app where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
